Things to do in Cornwall

There is plenty to see and do in the beautiful county of Cornwall, and The Links Holiday Flats in Lelant is the perfect place to base yourself for your holiday here.

West Cornwall Golf Club

This golf course is one of the finest links courses in Cornwall that was first established in 1889.

The course has been moulded around the natural sand dunes landscape, making for a challenging and beautiful course.

Beaches

The Links Holiday Flats are located within a 10-minute walk of the beach, so if you are looking for a break by the seaside, come and stay with us.

There are numerous beaches a short distance away from us, including Carbis Bay, Porthminster Beach, Hayle Beaches, Gwithian, Godrevy and Porthmeor Beach.

A short car ride to the south coast takes you to Marazion and Long Rock beaches and Penzance harbour.

Coastal Walks

The South West Coast Path runs right along The Links Holiday Flats, so you can enjoy these stunning views if you are into your hiking.

St Michaels Way - the pilgrims way which goes across to Marazion - begins a short walk from the flats at the local church. We also recommend walking to Trencrom Hill, about 3 minutes walk away, where, from the top of the hill, you can view both St Ives and Penzance on the opposite coasts .

we also recommend a trip to Botallack on the Zennor to St Just road, where there are significant abandoned mine workings and the area offers stunning views over the cliffs and the sea.

Eating and Drinking

There are several local good pubs and restaurants in Hayle, Lelant, Carbis Bay and St Ives Bay. We can advise you when you get here of current favourites.Don't forget the St Ives Food and Drink Festival in May, The Falmouth oyster festival in September, the Newlyn Fish Festival and many more

Paradise Park

This is a great place for the family, with more than 650 birds and 140 species in the park.

You can feed the otters and penguins, visit the red pandas and enjoy the indoor play centre.

Flying displays, rescue work and the training of birds of prey also take place at Paradise Park

Museums and Art Galleries

The Tate St Ives is a popular destination for art lovers and a must-see now that is has re-opened with much more gallery space. The Tate along with the Barbara Hepworth Museum make an ideal day out and the local St Ives Bay/St Erth train is the perfect way of getting there.

The Maritime museum in Falmouth is also worth seeing and you can view the large visiting ships across the harbour..
